[https://imgur.com/a/cdqcsRK](https://imgur.com/a/cdqcsRK) I put up the standard daltile 2x4 bright white subway tile in my kitchen. Ended up using 1 1/2 sheets and got within 3/8" - 1/2" of the upper cabinets. I was hoping to use a bit of the metal tile edging across the gap between the cabinet and the window trim, but the way I laid the tiles out didn't quite make it up to the bottom of the cabinets. Cutting the whole bottom row to make the top and bottom even wasn't possible for me. Havi... So I finished tiling a kitchen backsplash over the weekend. For me, it was more work than I thought it would be. But I got it done. Have some questions and some small issues if anyone can provide some insight on how I can deal with them 1) Looks like I cut this tile piece a tad more than I should have around the switch. I am not able to align the switches to fit the faceplate. It seems the green ground screw is in the way on the left. Is there a simple way I can either cut the tile down jus...
Is there a way to cleanup the look of the edges of the tile here without tearing it out and replacing it all? https://imgur.com/5Qpudzc

Kitchen backsplash done, but..(see pic) [side ](https://ibb.co/4fqYwXZ) Kitchen tile backsplash done, but looks a bit unfinished on one side. We did not put up Schluter trim. There is only one side of wall , under cabinets , where the edges of the tile are visible. Only about 1 to 1.5 feet but looks sloppy. Probably should have put trim up but didn’t and really don’t want to take any down to do so. The exposed tile part is only a small space. Any suggestions on how to tidy it up? I don’t love how it looks but I don’t know what else to suggest, I’m not a good designer and don’t have much knowledge about it. The tiles are 4x10” and this is the only edge he did this way. I've just finished installing my kitchen backsplash this weekend (haven't grouted yet) and I'm wondering what the cleanest way to finish the outside edge is, where the tile meets drywall. Picture here: [https://imgur.com/a/Eb9hezA](https://imgur.com/a/Eb9hezA) I didn't want to tile all the way to the door trim, so I stopped it short enough to leave room for the light switch cover plate. For better or worse I left the rough edge of the tile showing. Given its current state, how would you finish...
Kitchen backsplash edge finish. What are the recommendations for finishing this tile edge where the backsplash meets the drywall (glass tile)? I am considering: 1. leaving it alone; 2. caulking the edge with white caulk (that would match the drywall paint); or 3. calking the edge with caulk color matched to the grout color. It seems like the general recommendation online is to go with option 3, but I'm not sure if options 1 or 2 might look better. There is no grout or caulk between the edge of the tile and the drywall now.... When installing a kitchen backsplash, specifically when there isn't one preexisting, should you account for the possibility of replacing the counter top and/or cabinets in the future? Not that I'm planning on doing that anytime soon. I don't want to install the backsplash in a manner that would make it harder for me to replace the countertop and/or cabinet should they get damaged or anything like that. I am planning on using metal L-shape trim edging on the exposed sides and I'm wondering i... We installed a new kitchen backsplash, and we're really pleased with it! It's basic glass tile, and we did the full install ourselves. The last step is cleaning up the edges. Wondering what the best option would be here. Gray silicone is one idea I've got for the top, and maybe some wood trim for the side. Is silicone a bad idea? Any other good options?
